We are participating in the "Capacity Development for Climate Mitigative Water Management Technology" (Asian Development Bank Technical Assisstance Project) being implemented in Cambodia.
The project aims to increase rice yields, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from paddy to earn carbon credits by introducing AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) irrigation, a method used in Japan and other countries, to paddy irrigation areas in Cambodia.
The predominant paddy irrigation method in Cambodia is plot-to-plot irrigation, which is very different from that in Japan, so introducing AWD irrigation presents technical challenges, but we hope to overcome these challenges and make this a meaningful project for Cambodian farmers.
Two experts of our company will be participating: Team Leader/AWD Specialist and Deputy Team Leader/Irrigation Specialist.
As part of the Uzbekistan Horticulture Value Chain Promotion Project (Phase 2), in which our company is participating, we conducted a study tour to Japan for Uzbek horticulture value chain stakeholders, such as food processing companies.
The tour included participation in an agricultural exhibition with business matchning with Japanese companies, a visit to a food processing company in Ibaraki Prefecture, a visit to a melon farm, a specialty product both for Ibaraki Prefecture and Uzbekistan, and a roadside station.
We also invited lecturers from universities to explain about agriculture and food business in Japan.
The Uzbek participants are already putting what they learned on the tour into practice in their businesses, such as purchasing the latest equipment they discovered at the agricultural exhibition and exporting agricultural products based on the needs of importing countries.

We named our company "Sustainable", hoping to create a sustainable society where people of both developed and developing countries live together comfortably.
